Playing

Is Flappy Dash free?

Yes. The whole game is free to play, with nothing to download and no account to create. The site is supported by advertising.

What devices does it work on?

Any phone, tablet or computer with a modern web browser, such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. On a phone, hold it upright and press Full screen on the play page for the biggest view.

Can I play full screen?

Yes. On an Android phone or tablet, the game fills the whole screen at your first tap. On a computer, press F or the Full screen button on the play page, and press Esc or F to leave. On a big screen the game stays portrait, with its world dimmed either side.

On an iPhone, Safari does not let web pages go full screen. Tap Share, then Add to Home Screen: Flappy Dash then opens from its own icon, full screen, like an app.

How do I control the bird?

Tap the screen, click, or press Space, ↑ or Enter to flap. Press Esc or P, or use the pause button, to pause. The how to play guide covers everything else.

The keyboard does nothing. What is wrong?

The game needs keyboard focus. Click once anywhere inside the game, then try again.

Why is there no sound?

Browsers keep every page silent until you interact with it, so the music starts when you start your first run. If you still hear nothing, check that music and sound are switched on in the game's Settings, that your device is not muted, and that the browser tab is not muted.

Does the game work offline?

You need a connection to load the game. Once it has loaded, a run does not need the network.

Can I install it like an app?

Yes. In your browser's menu, choose Add to Home screen (or Install on a computer). Flappy Dash then opens from its own icon, straight into the game.

Progress and Saving

Is my progress saved?

Yes, automatically, in your browser on the device you play on. Your best score, coins, birds, powers, traits and settings are all kept there between visits.

My progress disappeared. Can I get it back?

Progress is stored only in your browser, so it is lost if you clear your browser's site data or cookies, use a private or incognito window, or switch to a different browser or device. There are no accounts, so we have no copy to restore it from, and we are sorry when that happens.

Can I move my progress to another device?

Not at the moment. Each browser keeps its own progress.

Game Rules

How does the daily challenge work?

Every day there is one new course, and every player in the world flies exactly the same columns, gaps and creatures. That makes daily scores a fair comparison. Each daily run pays 3 bonus coins per point, up to 150 coins a day.

How do I fire a power?

You don't need to. When the surge meter in the bottom-left corner fills, it fires by itself as soon as the bird is in clear air, and every power you own runs at once for ten seconds. See the powers guide.

What is the difference between a shield and a heart?

A shield absorbs one crash into a column, creature or projectile and the run carries straight on. It cannot save you from the ground. A heart is an extra life: it saves you from any crash, including the ground, by putting the bird back in clear air. Both stack.

Is the game fair?

Yes, and it is built that way on purpose. Every gap the game creates is checked so that it can be flown through on position alone, and every creature gives a warning before it moves. A crash in Flappy Dash is always something you can learn from. Read more about how the game is made.

Can I buy coins with real money?

Not on this website. Coins are earned by playing: collecting them, flying close to columns, and the daily bonus. Coins are part of the game only and have no real-world value.

Do birds change how I fly?

No. Birds are looks only. Traits are the part that changes handling, such as Light Bones for lighter gravity or Quick Charge for a faster meter.

The Website

Why are there ads?

Advertising is what keeps Flappy Dash free for everyone. Ads appear around the game on this website, not over the play area while you are flying.

Do you collect my personal information?

No accounts, no sign-up and no personal details are needed to play. Your game progress stays in your own browser. Our advertising partner, Google, may use cookies to show ads; the privacy policy explains this and how to control it.

I found a bug. How do I report it?

Thank you! Please use the contact page and tell us your device, your browser and what happened just before the problem.
